The app itself is free to download and install. You don't need to create a separate registration if you already have an Amazon account; you just sign in with that. While the app is free, you will need subscriptions for services like Prime Video, Netflix, or Hulu to watch most content. The app does show ads for Amazon's own shows and movies, but there are no disruptive pop-up ads during playback.

Using the app is pretty straightforward. After you download and install it, you link it to your Fire TV device or compatible smart TV. The main screen shows all your apps and channels in one place. I use it mostly to browse through different streaming services without switching inputs on my TV. A simple tip from a user: use the voice search with the remote. It's much faster than typing to find a specific movie or actor. The app also lets you control playback, volume, and even switch inputs right from your phone, which is handy when the physical remote goes missing.
