Ticketmaster is a ticketing app designed to help you buy and sell tickets for live events. I've been using it for concerts and sports games for a few years now. It launched way back, long before apps were even a thing, but the mobile app is the go-to way to get tickets on your phone. You can find it on both Google Play and the App Store, and it has over 10 million downloads on Google Play alone. It's free to download and install, which is great. You do need to create an account to buy anything, which is pretty standard. The app does have in-app purchases because, well, you're buying tickets. It also shows some ads or promotions for upcoming events, but they're usually not too annoying and can actually be helpful to discover new shows.
Using the app is pretty straightforward. When a big concert is about to go on sale, I make sure I'm logged in ahead of time with my payment info saved. That's my biggest tip: be prepared before the sale starts because tickets can sell out in minutes. I search for the artist or team, pick the date I want, and then the fun (or stressful) part begins—selecting seats. The interactive maps are a lifesaver for seeing exactly where you'll be sitting. Once you choose, you just check out. I also use it to sell tickets if my plans change. You list the ticket, set a price (sometimes there are rules about this), and if it sells, the money goes back to your original payment method. It's become my one-stop shop for all things tickets.
