As for costs, the app itself doesn't have in-app purchases for core features, but they do have optional promoted listings if you want more visibility for your items. You might see some ads within the app, but they're usually for other listings or services and aren't too intrusive. It's a great platform for decluttering your home or finding a good deal on something you need without the hassle of traditional online auctions.
Using OfferUp is pretty simple. After you download and install the app, you set up a profile. To sell something, you just take a few photos, write a clear description, set a price, and post it. My tip is to use good lighting for your pictures—it really helps items sell faster.
