American Airlines is a travel app designed to help you manage flights and trips easily. I use this app mostly for booking flights and checking in before I travel. The app has been around for years and you can get it on Google Play and the App Store. Millions of people have downloaded and installed it on their phones. The download itself is free, but you do need to create an account if you want to book or manage reservations. There are no in app purchases really, but you can buy upgrades and extra services through the app. Sometimes you see ads for promotions or credit cards, but they are not too pushy.

Using the app is pretty simple once you get the hang of it. I usually open the app to check my flight status or pull up my boarding pass. One tip I have is to turn on notifications for flight changes. This way you get alerts right away if your gate changes or the flight gets delayed. The app also lets you pick seats, add bags, and even order food on some flights. I like that I can save my payment info so booking is faster next time. The calendar view is nice too because it shows all my upcoming trips in one place. I use it a lot before trips to make sure everything is set.
