Using the app is easy. You just pick a photo from your gallery, then choose a frame style. You can browse categories like love, birthday, or nature themed sets. What I like is that you can pinch and zoom to adjust how your photo fits inside the frame. A tip I learned is to use photos with high contrast because they pop more inside white or pastel frames. You can also add text, but it's better to keep it short. The app does feel smooth on most phones, even older ones. I usually use it before sharing a picture to family or friends, and it only takes about a minute per edit. Just make sure to save your work to your device before closing the app.
Compared to other apps like PicsArt or Canva, Photo Frames is simpler and more focused. PicsArt has too many tools that can be confusing. Canva is great for design, but it's slow on some phones. Photo Frames does one thing and does it well without distractions. I chose it because it's lightweight, starts fast, and doesn't ask me to sign in. It's also less likely to crash on my older tablet.
