DIY Coloring: Pixel Art Number is a relaxing coloring game for mobile. It's available on both Android via Google Play and iOS on the App Store. The game is completely free to download and play. It doesn't have any annoying ads popping up during your coloring sessions, which is a huge plus. There are in-app purchases, but they are optional and mostly for unlocking extra picture packs or getting more color palettes. You can enjoy hundreds of pictures without spending a single dollar.

The gameplay is super simple and perfect for unwinding. You see a pixelated picture divided into numbered squares. Each number corresponds to a specific color. You just tap the color at the bottom and then tap the numbered squares to fill them in. There's no time limit, no pressure. The best part is watching the detailed image slowly reveal itself. My favorite thing is the huge variety of pictures. You can color animals, food, famous characters, and beautiful landscapes. The 'paint bucket' tool is a lifesaver for large areas. It feels very satisfying to complete a complex picture and see the final vibrant result.

Compared to other popular coloring games like Happy Color or Pigment, DIY Coloring: Pixel Art Number stands out for its pure, ad-light experience and its focus on pixel art. While Happy Color has more social features, it's also filled with video ads. This game feels more like a digital version of those classic paint-by-number books, but with a cool pixelated twist. If you're looking for a stress-free, creative app to kill time without constant interruptions, I highly recommend this one. It's become my go-to for relaxing before bed.

Features

  • Ad-Free Coloring ✨ - Unlike Happy Color, you can color for long periods without forced video ads, making the experience much more peaceful.
  • Simple Pixel Mechanics 🔢 - The clear number-to-color system is easier and more precise than the freeform coloring in apps like Recolor.
  • Offline Play 📴 - Download pictures and color anywhere without an internet connection, a feature not all coloring games have.
  • Custom Palettes 🎨 - Create and save your own color combinations, allowing for more personalization than basic preset options.

Pros

  • Truly Relaxing 😌 - No timers, scores, or energy systems. It's pure, mindful coloring without pressure.
  • Great Pixel Art Style 🎮 - The pixel art looks crisp and feels more engaging than standard smooth coloring pages.
  • Very Generous Free Version 👍 - You get tons of free content without being pushed to pay, which is rare.

Cons

  • Can Feel Repetitive 🔁 - The tap-to-fill gameplay doesn't change, which might bore players seeking more variety.
• Limited Social Features 👥 - Lacks the community galleries or sharing options that games like Happy Color thrive on.
  • Color Selection Can Be Tricky 🎨 - Sometimes the provided colors are very similar, making it hard to see the difference on the final picture.
