LastSeen is a tools app designed to help you check when someone was last active on social platforms. I found this app while searching google play for something simple to track online times without bothering friends. It has been around for a few years now and you can download it from both google play and the App Store easily. The install count on google play is decent but not huge, still growing I think. It is free to download and you do not need to register an account right away. There are some in app purchases if you want extra features and there are ads which pop up now and then but not too annoying.

Using LastSeen is pretty simple once you get the hang of it. You just open the app and add the social accounts you want to check. I usually add the ones from my close friends so I know when they are active. A tip I picked up is to refresh the data every few hours because it does not update in real time. It works best if you keep the app open for a bit after adding a new account. I only install it on my phone and use it a few times a week. The interface is clean and not crowded which I like because some tools apps just have too much going on.

Compared to other similar apps on google play, LastSeen feels more focused. I tried a few others before like SocialTracker and FriendActivity, but they felt too messy with extra features I never used. LastSeen keeps things simple and that is why I chose it. It does not ask for too many permissions and the app runs smooth even on older phones. Some apps in this genre want you to pay right away to unlock basic stuff but LastSeen gives you enough for free. I would say it is a solid choice if you want a lightweight tool without all the noise.
