Level Devil - NOT A Troll Game is a platformer that messes with your head in the best way. It is a mobile game you can get on Google Play and the App Store. The game is free to download. You will see ads, and there are in-app purchases. I paid a few bucks to remove ads because I played it a lot. It is mobile only, so no PC or console version yet. The name tries to tell you it is not a troll game, but do not believe that completely.
You run and jump through levels that seem normal at first. Then things start to change. Platforms move. Spikes appear where there were none. The game knows what you want to do and tries to stop you. The controls are simple. You have a jump button and a move button. That is it. My favorite part is the surprise. Every time I think I know what comes next, the game flips everything. It keeps me on edge. The levels are short, so I always want to try one more time. The game does not punish you hard for failing. You just restart the level fast. That keeps me playing.
It feels like games like "The World's Hardest Game" or "I Wanna Be the Guy." Those games also trick you. But Level Devil is more fair in a weird way. The tricks make sense once you learn them. In those other games, some deaths feel random and cheap. Here, you can see the trick coming if you pay attention. I think this game is better for casual players. It is hard but not crazy hard. If you like games that test your reflexes and your patience, you will enjoy this. I recommend it because it is fun to fail and learn.
