Halloween Chronicle 1 is a hidden object puzzle game made by Do Games Limited. It is a free to play game, and you can get it on Google Play and the App Store. It is basically a mobile game, but I think you can also find Do Games titles on PC sometimes. The download is free, but like most mobile games, it has in app purchases. You can play without paying, but some hints or extra stuff might cost you. There are also ads, but they are not too annoying compared to other games I have tried.

The game puts you right in a spooky Halloween town. You have to find hidden items in detailed scenes. It is not just about tapping random objects. You have to look for specific things that fit the story. The best part for me is the atmosphere. The music and the art style really get you in the mood for Halloween. My favorite part is when you unlock new areas. Each place has a different vibe, like a haunted house or a creepy forest. It keeps the game fresh. The puzzles are also fun. They are not too hard, but they are not brain dead easy either. You feel smart when you finish a tricky scene.

If you have played other hidden object games, this one is similar to things like Mystery Manor or Hidden City. But I think Halloween Chronicle 1 has a stronger theme. It is more focused, so you know what you are getting. It is not as big as Hidden City, which is a huge world with lots of stuff. This one is more linear, which I actually like. You can finish the story without feeling lost. I recommend it if you like spooky games and want something you can play in short bursts. It is good for a quick session when you have a few minutes to spare.
