The app makes money through partnerships with gas stations and restaurants, so there are no in app purchases, but you might see some offers from different places. It works by showing you nearby deals, and when you use your linked card or scan a receipt, you get cash back.
Using the app is pretty straightforward. You just open it, and it shows you gas stations and restaurants near you that have cash back offers. For gas, you claim the offer, then go to the station and pay with your linked credit or debit card. The app tracks your purchase and adds the cash back to your account. For food, you usually need to scan your receipt after you eat. A simple tip I learned is to always check the app before you fill up your tank or go out to eat. Sometimes the cash back rates change, and you can find better deals at different places. Also, link your card instead of scanning receipts for gas because it is much faster and you do not have to worry about losing the receipt.
