Zillow is a real estate app designed to help you search homes for sale and rent. It came out a long time ago and it works on both Google Play and the App Store. It is free to download and install. You do not need to make an account to look around, but if you want to save homes, you will need to register. The app has millions of installs. It makes money from ads and some in app purchases. Zillow shows you houses on a map, so you can see what is near schools, shops, and parks. You can filter by price, size, and type of home. You can also see photos and read details about each listing. Some homes have 3D tours, which help you see the place without going there. You can save your favorite homes and get alerts when new ones pop up. It is handy if you are moving or just curious about prices in your area.

I use Zillow when I want to check what is out there. I open the app, type in a city or zip code, and start scrolling. The map view is my favorite part because I can zoom in on streets I like. My tip is to set your filters first. If you only want two bedrooms under a certain price, put that in before you start looking. That way you do not waste time on homes you cannot afford. Another tip is to turn on notifications for saved searches. When a new home hits the market, you will know fast. I also like to read the listing history. It shows if the price went up or down. That helps me know if the seller is open to offers. Do not trust the Zestimate too much. It is just a guess. Always check with a real person before you make a big move.

I have tried other apps like Redfin and Realtor.com. They are fine, but I keep coming back to Zillow. The main reason is the huge number of listings. It feels like almost every home is on there. Redfin has nice maps too, but in my area, Zillow has more choices. Realtor.com is good, but the app feels a bit slow sometimes. Zillow is fast and easy to use. The design is clean, and I can find what I need without getting lost. I also like the 3D tours. Not every app has that for free. So for me, Zillow is the first app I open when I want to look at homes. It is simple, free, and it works.

Features

  • 🏠 Search homes on a map. You can zoom in and see listings pop up on the streets. Redfin has a similar map, but Zillow feels smoother when I move around.
  • 🏠 Filter by price, beds, baths, and more. You can set your budget and save it. Realtor.com has filters too, but Zillow remembers my choices better.
  • 🏠 Save homes and get alerts. When a new home matches your search, you get a push. Redfin sends alerts as well, but Zillow sends them faster in my area.
  • 🏠 Take 3D tours. You can walk through some homes right on your phone. Redfin has tours too, but not as many in my city. Zillow stands out because more listings have this option.

Pros

  • ⭐ Huge number of listings. I see more homes on Zillow than on Redfin or Realtor.com in my area.
  • ⭐ Free and easy to use. You can download and install it fast, and you do not need to pay to look around.
  • ⭐ Clean map view. It is simple to move around and see what is near a home. Redfin is close, but Zillow feels more natural to me.

Cons

  • ⚠️ Zestimate can be off. Redfin and Realtor.com give better price estimates in some areas.
  • ⚠️ Some listings are old. I have seen homes on Zillow that were sold months ago. Realtor.com updates faster sometimes.
