RFS - Real Flight Simulator by RORTOS is a top-tier mobile flight simulation game. It's a detailed flight sim available on both Android and iOS via the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. The base game is free to download, which is awesome for trying it out. However, to unlock the full experience with all aircraft and global online multiplayer, you need a subscription. There are also in-app purchases for specific planes. No annoying ads interrupt your flights if you go for the premium option. It's mobile-only but feels so deep it could be on PC.

Playing RFS is about realism. You manage everything from engine start, taxi, takeoff, navigation, to landing. The best part is the live global online mode. You see other real players' planes on the map, flying real-time routes. My favorite thing is planning a long-haul flight across the Atlantic, setting up the autopilot, and watching the world go by from the cockpit view. The physics during landing, dealing with crosswinds, feels really satisfying when you nail a smooth touchdown.

Compared to other mobile sims like Infinite Flight or X-Plane Mobile, RFS strikes a great balance. Infinite Flight has better graphics, but RFS has a more engaging live world and often feels more accessible. X-Plane is more hardcore with systems. I recommend RFS because it makes you feel like a real pilot on a global scale without being overwhelming. The constant updates with new planes and airports keep it fresh.

Features

  • Live Global Multiplayer 🌍: Fly with other players in real-time on a shared world map. It's like a mini online aviation network.
  • Detailed Aircraft Systems ⚙️: Interactive cockpits with working switches, flaps, and autopilot. It's not just a pretty model; you manage the plane.
  • Real-World Airports & Procedures 🛬: Uses real navigation data. You follow real SIDs and STARs, making flights authentic.
  • Regular Content Updates ✈️: Developers add new aircraft (like the A350 or 787) and airports frequently, similar to how Infinite Flight expands its fleet.
  • Multiple Camera Views 📷: Switch between cockpit, external, chase, and tower views. Better for sightseeing than X-Plane's more fixed views.

Pros

  • Living Online World 🗺️: The real-time multiplayer map is unique and super immersive. Beats playing alone in other sims.
  • Balance of Realism & Fun 🎮: More approachable than hardcore sims but deeper than arcade games. Perfect for mobile.
  • Constant Development 🔄: RORTOS actively supports it. You get new stuff to fly regularly, which keeps you coming back.

Cons

  • Subscription Model 💰: Full access requires a recurring fee. Other sims like X-Plane are a one-time purchase.
  • Graphics Can Vary 📱: On older phones, it doesn't look as sharp as Infinite Flight. Visuals are good but not always the best.
  • Limited Free Version 🔒: The free version is very restricted. You can't properly try the best planes or online mode without paying.
