Allergy Plus by Pollen.com is a health and wellness app designed to help you track pollen levels and manage allergy symptoms. I found this app while searching for ways to deal with my seasonal allergies on google play. It has been around for a few years and keeps getting updates, which I like. The app is available on both google play and the App Store, and it has millions of downloads so far. You can download it for free, and there is no need to create an account right away, which is nice. However, there are ads, and you can make in app purchases to remove them.

When I use this app, I first check my local pollen forecast for the day. It shows levels for different allergens like tree pollen, ragweed, and grass. I usually check it in the morning before I go outside. The app also gives me a symptom tracker where I can log how I feel each day. Over time, the app shows patterns, so I can see when my allergies get worse. A simple tip I follow is to log my symptoms every day, even if I feel okay. This helps the app give me better advice and forecasts. The app sends me notifications when pollen levels are high, which reminds me to take my medication or stay indoors.

Compared to other apps like Weather Allergy or Zyrtec AllergyCast, Allergy Plus by Pollen.com feels more focused on daily use. I tried a few others, but this one gives more detailed pollen breakdowns. The interface is simpler and easier to read. I chose this app because it is updated often and the data feels accurate for my area. Some other apps have too many features that I do not need. This one keeps it simple, which is what I want from an allergy app on google play.

Features

  • 🌟 The app shows a daily pollen forecast that breaks down allergens like tree, grass, and weed pollen separately. This helps me know exactly what I am reacting to each day. I can also check the 5 day forecast to plan my week better.
  • 🌟 It includes a symptom tracker where I log how my allergies affect me. Over time, the app creates a report that shows patterns. This is very helpful for me when I talk to my doctor about my medications.
  • 🌟 Compared to Weather Allergy, Allergy Plus by Pollen.com gives me more localized data. The forecasts seem more accurate for my city. Weather Allergy often shows general info for a large area, which is not as helpful for me.

Pros

  • ✅ The pollen data is very accurate and updates daily. I trust it more than other apps like WebMD Allergy because it seems to use reliable sources.
  • ✅ The user interface is clean and easy to navigate. I do not get lost in menus like I did with Zyrtec AllergyCast.
  • ✅ The symptom tracker is simple but effective. It gives me clear reports that I can share with my doctor easily.

Cons

  • ⚠️ The free version has too many ads. They pop up often and interrupt my experience. I understand the app needs to make money, but it is a bit much.
  • ⚠️ Compared to Allergycast, the app lacks a community feature where users can share tips. I think that would make it more engaging.
