Call From Princess Elsa is a simulation app in the entertainment category that makes fake video calls feel simple and fun. I found this app on Google Play about a month ago and decided to download it just for laughs with my little sister. The app lets you set up a fake incoming call from Princess Elsa, and when you answer it, you see a video of Elsa talking to you on the screen. It was released a while back by dev riad saoud Apps, and it is free to install from the Google Play store. You do not need to register or create an account to use it, which I really liked. The app does show some ads, but they are not too annoying. It also has in app purchases if you want to unlock extra callers or themes, but the basic version works fine without spending anything.
To use the app, you just open it and pick the call screen you want. You can set a timer so the call comes in after a few minutes, or you can trigger it right away. I usually set the timer for five minutes and then hand my phone to my sister. When the call comes in, it looks very real, with a nice video of Elsa waving and speaking. One simple tip is to put your phone on silent mode first, because the ringtone can be loud. Another good tip is to use the app in a well lit room, so the video quality looks better. If you want to prank a friend, you can start the call while they are holding your phone, and they will be surprised when they see Elsa on the screen. The app is very easy to navigate, so there is no learning curve at all.
I have tried other fake call apps on Google Play, like Fake Call from a Celebrity or Prank Call Simulator, but this one feels more polished. The video quality is better, and the lip sync matches the voice much more closely. Some other apps just show a still picture with a voice, but this one feels like a real video call. I also like that the app is lightweight and does not take up much space on my phone. The other apps I tried had too many ads or needed too many permissions, but this one keeps things simple. That is why I keep using it and even recommended it to my cousins. If you want a fun way to mess with your friends or family, give this app a try from Google Play.
Features
- 📞 The main function is the fake incoming video call from Elsa. You can set it to ring after a few seconds or minutes, and the screen shows a full video of her talking. I compared it with Fake Call from a Celebrity, and that app only shows a static image sometimes, so this one feels more real.
- 🎥 The video quality is surprisingly clear. Elsa moves her hands and speaks like she is actually on a video call with you. Other similar apps on Google Play have blurry videos or laggy audio, but here everything runs smoothly on my phone.
- ⏱️ The timer feature works really well. You can choose from 10 seconds up to 10 minutes, and the call always comes on time. This is better than Prank Call Simulator, where the timer often glitches or stops working after an update.
- 🎨 There are a few different caller screens and themes to pick from. You can change the background or the ringtone, which makes the prank feel more personal. Most other apps only give you one default setup, so this extra choice stands out for me.
Pros
- 👍 The app works exactly as described. You download it, set the timer, and the fake call comes in perfectly every time. No crashes or weird bugs happened to me yet.
- 👍 It is very easy to use. Even my mom figured it out in two minutes, and she is not good with phones at all. Other similar apps on Google Play have confusing menus, but this one is clean.
- 👍 The ads are not too heavy. I expected a lot of pop ups, but I only see a small banner at the bottom. Fake Call from a Celebrity had ads that covered half the screen, so this is much better.
Cons
- ⚠️ The app only has Elsa as the main caller, so it gets old after a few uses. I wish there were more characters to choose from without paying.
- ⚠️ The in app purchases feel a bit pricey for what you get. Unlocking extra themes costs more than I expected, compared to other prank apps on Google Play.
